Sroda - Wednesday

Obejrzalam tradycyjny taniec, wybralam sie na plantacje kawy Kopi Luwak, odwiedzilam "Zielona Wioske", wodospad oraz swiatynie Pura Samuan Tiga.

Ciekawostka:

Watched a traditional Balinese dance, visited a Kupi Luwak coffee plantation, visited The Green Village, a waterfall and Pura Samuan Tiga Temple.

Something interesting:
Kopi Luwak or Luwak coffee is made from beans of the coffee plant, which are extracted from animal droppings ; the animal is known locally as Luwak .

Coffee cherries are a delicacy for that animal and it eats them with a great appetite but only digests the pulp. The beans pass through the digestive tract of the animal almost intact, only slightly fermented and are then excreted. Luwaks are fussy eaters, they eat only the best, ripest cherries , and these, after passing through the digestive tract, lose their bitter taste and the coffee consequently gains a mild flavor . The droppings are collected manually and after a very careful cleaning process, the coffee beans are burnt.

Kopi Luwak is the most expensive coffee in the world. Apparently only 300-400 kg of Kopi Luwak coffee is produces every year. The coffee tastes great, it is very mild, almost velvety and rich in flavor.
